Separate budgets, enforced in the schema rather than promised in copy: error volume meters against its own allowance and never against your events.
Your Sentry SDK keeps working
Point the DSN at us and errors flow tonight. Moving error tracking to PostHog means instrumenting with posthog-js instead — a code change, not a config one.
SQL over the raw stream
A sandboxed SELECT-only editor straight on your events, not a query builder over a modelled subset.

Above roughly 3M events a month with real error traffic, where two meters compound and a flat tier does not. And whenever a predictable invoice is worth more to you than a fifth product.
the_verdict
If you are small, use PostHog free — genuinely, it is more product than we give away. If you are past that and what you actually want is these two jobs at a price you can forecast, that is the trade we are built for.
