Where Sentry is the better choice
Sentry does more than Vinktar. If you need any of the following, buy Sentry.
Tracing, profiling and session replay
Sentry has all three, along with cron monitors, uptime monitors and release health. Vinktar has error grouping, source maps, releases and alerts.
Price below 350,000 errors a month
Up to about 350,000 errors a month, Sentry’s Team plan costs less than Vinktar Pro. That is for errors alone, and the table below has the figures.
Seer
Seer looks into an issue and proposes a fix, as a paid add-on. Sentry’s MCP server is free to use with your own agent, and Vinktar runs no model.
An agent plugin that sets it up
Sentry’s agent plugin sets Sentry up from a prompt in Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or Grok. It can then query issues and fix them.
SDKs for over a hundred platforms
Sentry maintains an official SDK for almost anything you run. Vinktar has three, for JavaScript, Node.js and PHP (in beta), and accepts Sentry’s for errors.
SOC 2 and an EU region
Sentry has SOC 2, an EU region and years of track record. Vinktar has no SOC 2 and stores everything in Helsinki.

Errors and analytics for your agent
Your coding agent reads an issue, its stack trace and what the user did before, then checks conversion for the same period. Agent access is on every plan, with a monthly allowance and no charge per call.

If one error gets stuck in a loop, Vinktar counts at most 1,000 repeats an hour against your plan. The rest are still counted on the issue and are not charged.
- Sentry Team is $26 a month billed annually, with 50,000 errors included. 500,000 is $26 + 50,000 × $0.0003625 + 400,000 × $0.0002188. Data past the pay-as-you-go budget is dropped and not charged.
- Better Stack includes 100,000 exceptions a month, kept 90 days, then charges $0.000050 an exception in the EU region. 400,000 × $0.000050 is $20.
- Bugsink hosted is €16 a month on the 75K plan and €50 on the 600K plan. Self-hosting is free with every feature.
- GlitchTip is $15 for 100,000 events (Small) and $50 for 500,000 (Medium).
Switching, and going back
Change the DSN and deploy. Your Sentry SDK keeps running and its errors land in Vinktar, with no other change to your code.

Errors and captured messages. Transactions, sessions, replays and profiles are accepted and dropped, so Vinktar does not replace Sentry’s tracing.
Source maps
A browser app uploads its source maps to Vinktar as well. Switch from Sentry has the steps and the six SDKs it was tested with.
Product analytics
Product events are sent by the Vinktar SDK. Add it, or ask your agent to, once you have seen your own errors here.
Going back
Point the DSN at Sentry again. Errors sent in the meantime stay in Vinktar until your plan’s history runs out, and any board panel exports as CSV.
