vinktar_vs_flare

Vinktar and Flare

The error tracker Laravel people already know, from the people who wrote half the packages in your composer.json. If error tracking for a Laravel app is the whole of what you want, this page mostly agrees with them.

what_they_do_better

Where Flare is the stronger product.

  • Built for Laravel, by Spatie

Ignition-grade error pages, solutions that name the fix, Laravel-aware context on every occurrence, and a client that lives inside the framework rather than beside it. We have a Laravel package; they have a Laravel product.

  • Performance monitoring and logs alongside

Spans for requests, queries and jobs, and application logs, on the same plan as the errors. We accept error events and product events and do not do tracing at all.

  • Cheaper for errors alone below about 250k a month

Four tiers from 10k to 2M errors a month, all with 30 days of retention, unlimited users and projects on the paid ones, and a spike guard instead of a bill. Below our Solo allowance the arithmetic is theirs.

  • EU-hosted, with a track record

Years of Laravel teams on it, hosted in the EU, from a company nobody in that community needs introducing to.

what_we_do_better

Where we are.

  • Product analytics in the same account

Funnels, retention and SQL over the events your Laravel app already emits, joined to the same people the errors belong to. Flare does not do this half at all; with Flare it is a second vendor and a second bill.

  • Flat above their ladder

Past roughly 300k errors a month our $99 Starter carries a million with a year of history, and Team carries ten million. Their top tier is 2M errors at 30 days.

  • Your Sentry SDK keeps working, and so does theirs

Any Sentry SDK points at us with one DSN line, including the Laravel one you may already run. A native Laravel package is on the way; until it ships, the Sentry SDK is the supported path.

  • The bill is a number, not a meter

A flat tier with a 429 at twice the cap and no overage line. Flare will not stop collecting either, but it will contact you about upgrading.

which_one

Which one, then.

buy flare

Error tracking for a Laravel app, under about 250k errors a month, especially if you want performance spans and logs from the same vendor and product analytics from nowhere.

buy vinktar

When the product questions matter as much as the exceptions, or your error volume has outgrown a 30-day, 2M-error ceiling. One flat tier, both jobs, one identity.

the_verdict

If you are a Laravel shop shopping for an error tracker, Flare is the better error tracker and we will not pretend otherwise. We are worth a look the day you also want to know what your users did, from the same rows, on the same bill.

Flare's prices and features checked against their own pages on 2026-09-03. Their dollar prices render in JavaScript and are not quoted here; the allowances and retention are from the page itself.
